Design Projects
Beltway Technology Connections – Logo + Collateral
Redesigned the logo for Beltway Technology Connections, a tech start-up in Washington, DC. Designed business cards and print collateral to complement the new identity.
Egan Day Jewelry Boutique – Website
Developed a website to promote Egan Day, a jewelry boutique in Center City Philadelphia. Worked closely with the owners to create a look that complemented the laid-back, natural, and elegant feeling of their space.
Sarah Zwerling – Artist Website
Worked with artist sarah zwerling to design a website exhibiting her work. Sarah creates prints, installations, and videos, so it was important to develop a flexible format that would work well for different types of projects.
The clean, approachable look of the site matches her aesthetic and puts the focus where it belongs – on her work.
TransAsia Lawyers – Website Redesign
Overhauled and redesigned the website of TransAsia Lawyers. The design maintained a professional look while connecting back to the firm’s slightly whimsical ship logo.
Although the group ultimately chose a less daring look, Rocdove made recommendations and edits to the sparser design, including an update to the logo’s type treatment.
This American Life – Tshirt Design
Illustrated a tshirt for a contest held by the radio program This American Life.
It might not have won, but hey – it’s a nice illustration.
Cool boys knit – Logo + Website Design
Created a logo and website for multi-talented knitting impresario Ryan Marnell. The logo captures his generally nonconformist nature and the rock star attitude he brings to knitting.
The website serves as his portfolio – the online home of his many unique, at times avant garde, knitting creations
Brendan Marnell – The Old Online Portfolio
Brendan’s old website, preserved here for the ages. Yes, that is a bit sentimental.
Alloy Unicase – Typeface Design
Original semi-sans typeface based on Bradbury Thompson’s Alphabet 26 system. Thompson proposed doing away with separate uppercase and lowercase letterforms, advocating instead a unified alphabet of 26 characters.
Alloy blends opposites on three levels – it mixes serif with sans, uppercase with lowercase, and thick strokes with thin.
